"EXHIBITION OF THE SKELETONS OF THE MOTHER WITH HER FETUS FOUND DURING THE EXCAVATIONS OF THE TUMULUS OF KAMENICA"

On the occasion of the celebration of  8^th of March –women's Day–, the museum of the cultural heritage centre of the Tumulus of Kamenica organized, on March  7^th-8^th-9^th  2008 the exhibition of the unique find in Albania,

the original skeleton of a mother and of her fetus found during the excavations at the Tumulus of Kamenica in 2002. It is the first time in

Albania that the skeleton of a baby still inside his mother, who died during the last months of pregnancy, has been found.

The exhibition was a big success, and had a high number of visitors, tourists, and most of all students.
