"EXHIBITION OF THE SKELETONS OF THE MOTHER WITH HER FETUS FOUND DURING THE EXCAVATIONS OF THE TUMULUS OF KAMENICA"



 

On the occasion of the celebration of  8th of March –women's Day–, the museum of the cultural heritage centre of the Tumulus of Kamenica organized, on March  7th-8th-9th  2008 the exhibition of the unique find in Albania,



the original skeleton of a mother and of her fetus found during the excavations at the Tumulus of Kamenica in 2002. It is the first time in

Albania that the skeleton of a baby still inside his mother, who died during the last months of pregnancy, has been found.

The exhibition was a big success, and had a high number of visitors, tourists, and most of all students.
