EXHIBITION “THE TUMULUS OF KAMENICA IN A PAINTER’S EYES”

On April 17th, 2008 the exhibition “The Tumulus of Kamenica in a painter’s eyes” was inaugurated, showing the paintings of a group of students of the first year from the high school of Art “Tefta Tashko”, leaded by their professor, the well-known Korça painter Sotiraq Xega. The paintings were inspired by the unique setting of the museum and the tumulus monumental structures, which were interpreted differently by each young artist, following his own creativity. The inauguration had a good success among the public and the media.

The exhibition will last for a week, and coincides also with the “International Day of Museums”, on April 18th, initiative to which the museum of Kamenica adheres.
