Prof. as. Dr. Skënder Aliu, Director

He is an authority in Prehistory in the Albanian Archaeological community. During his 35 years activity has directed excavations in some settlements and in 6 cemeteries in the region of Kolonja, and he has participated as well in many more excavations in the region of Korça, included the Tumulus of Kamenica. He is author and co-author of many publications in Albania and abroad, especially focused on his main interest, the late Bronze Age and the Iron Age. He has been director for many years of the National Archaeological Museum of Korça, and he is now director of the Archaeological site and Museum of Kamenica. In 2008 he received the prestigious award “Pena e Artë (Golden Pen)” assigned by the Ministry of Education to distinguished members of the academic community.

Nertila Gegollari, Administrator, tour-guide

She graduated from the University of Korça, Dept. of Foreign Languages – English, but she is fluent in Italian and Spanish as well. During her studies she has been a member of the National Political Debate Group, and a member of the Albanian Movement for the Diffusion of School Education. Her main interests are foreign languages, travels and knowledge of different cultures, and archaeology. She is now the administrator and the guide of the Archaeological site and Museum of Kamenica.
